Description

Selling my 218D during to buying a new car. I've owned the car for 7 years and am the 2nd owner of the vehicle. I bought the car around 30k miles and am selling on just over 87k. The car is used for a short commute Monday - Friday then leasure at the weekend. Never been round a track, never towed, or other similar strenuous activities. Car drives and runs very well. Comfortable drive at all speeds and will easily do 45mpg in town driving and up too 55-60 with sensible motorway runs. The car has lots of gadgets and gizmos, to name a few: - satnav - Bluetooth - heated seats - xenon lights - front and rear parking sensors - cruise control and limiter - 3 selectable driving modes - automatic lights and wipers - seats that adjust in every way imaginable - Runflat tyres And many more, but these are the ones I personally found useful Some noteworthy work the car has had done: - new clutch at around 80k miles - new inlet manifold due to swirl flap failure which im told is a common issue with this car. This was done around 85k miles - EGR delete, also around 85k miles. 2 series have had many recalls by BMW due to a pretty rubbish EGR system. I had the garage look into a engine management light due to the EGR. They tried many replacement parts until we both agreed to delete the system and remap the car. The car now runs super smooth, has better economy and has more power. About 195bph and 400nm torque. - New DPF flexi pipe due to old one failing, done at 85k miles. - New idrive system fitted due to an issue with the control system. This was done under BMW warranty when I first got the car and has caused me no issues since. The remap Essentialy makes the car a 220D, but still insured as a 218D :) As with most cars of this age, there are minor cosmetic issues, a small dent in the roof and a small dent in the door (assumed from someone opening their dor into my car) but mechanically, nothing wrong. The wheels have some scuffs from curb damage as this was my 2nd car and I don't claim to be the best at parking... Filling the tank depending on where you live costs about 60 and with sensible driving can see you up too 550miles. Tires for the car Cost about 160 for front and 170 for rear, but can be cheaper if you choose not to have run flats. I run Bridgestone potenza's The car has a partial service history. I have some of the paperwork for work done, and some on the Idrive system. The car is being serviced on the 24th June. Any questions, please ask! :)
