This stunning example was built in 1965 in San Jose, California and was first registered in 1966. Presented in the classic colour of Wimbledon White with Light Blue and White Crinkle Vinyl Pony interior which is in superb condition. The 289ci (4.7 litre) V8 engine is mated to a three-speed automatic gearbox and drives as it should, with the fantastic V8 soundtrack. The engine was fully rebuilt, uprated and balanced in 2021 at a cost of over GBP 5,300. In 2022 a new Holley 4-barrel carburetor and manifold was fitted at a cost of over GBP 2,400. This Mustang has been cherished by its previous owners and this is reflected in its superb overall condition. Since entering the UK in 2017 over GBP 15,000 has been spent improving this Mustang (invoices in history file). The two substantial history contain a copy of its previous Californian registration, many old invoices, previous MOT's, photographs of work carried out and a letter from the Mustang Owners Club confirming its chassis number is correct. Being registered as a "Historic Vehicle" the car qualifies for free road tax and is exempt from MOT testing, however for peace of mind the car has been MOT'd every year since arriving in the UK and comes with a MOT valid until 09/04/2026. This is a much-cherished example of an iconic American classic and may turn out to be a very sensible future investment. Delivery maybe possible.
