Volvo were ahead of their time in 2012 when they launched the worlds first plug in Diesel Hybrid road car with a 0-60mph time of under 6 seconds and a top speed of 140+mph - all with up to 100Miles per gallon and 30 miles on pure electric available. This car rivaled the 3.0 Turbo Polestar V60 for pure power, but with the economy to boot. The engine is the reliable 2.4Turbo Diesel, mated with the 11kwh battery pack delivering the power to a switchable 2WD (front) or AWD system through the 6 Speed Geartronic Automatic box.
