Description
I bought this petrol fuelled C Class 200 Sport as 'nearly new' from Mercedes Direct and have enjoyed driving it for some 10 years. It has been serviced regularly according to the intervals posted as reminders by the car itself. I have mostly used Mercedes specialist, Welwyn Merx of Welwyn Garden City, to do the servicing. Any repairs and MoT advisories have similarly been dealt with promptly. Service history and repair receipts are available. This is a well appointed vehicle with synthetic leather seats, the front seats are heated, they are all in excellent, clean condition, with isofix fittings in the rear. The front and rear parking sensors and reversing camera are especially useful. The car has Mercedes park assist, enabling the car to park itself if required. There is an inbuilt Sat Nav, Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity, USB charging point, Digital DAB radio and CD player, automatic running and head lights and wipers, auto-folding mirrors, climate control / air conditioning, green tinted electric windows and front and rear screen. The car is an automatic using a steering column mounted lever, but can be shifted into manual mode controlled by separate paddles on the steering column. The driving mode can be shifted easily from Comfort (my default) to Sport, Sport+, Eco or Individual all of which change your driving experience. A separate lever on the steering column activates the cruise control and speed limiter. The cruise control is helpful for motorway driving and speed can be increased or decreased in 1mph or 5mph increments. It deactivates on pressing the brake pedal. An Attention Assist feature reminds the driver when to take a break. All the usual warning lights are found on the dashboard. Tyre pressure indicators are fitted and a warning is given if tyre inflation is needed.
There is no spare tyre, Mercedes provide a tyre sealant kit below the boot floor for use in case of a puncture. Locking wheel nuts are also provided. In case of breakdown there is a Mercedes Emergency Assist feature which is accessed by pressing the button on the console above the rear view mirror and reading lights.
