Originally delivered to the Metropolitan Police Service on 1st August 2010, this Range Rover HSE 3.6 TDV8 boasts remarkable provenance, having served as a Royal Household escort vehicle during key State and ceremonial occasions of the early 2010s. Most notably, it formed part of the Royal Protection convoy for HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh during the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in 2011.
Photographic and video evidence documents this very car accompanying the Royal Bentley through central London on the wedding day, broadcast to over 2 billion viewers worldwide. It played a key role in protecting the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh during the event. It has also been captured alongside other senior Royals and retains unique features from its service, including the full-height loadspace security screen fitted by the Royal Protection Command.
In use with the Metropolitan Police from new until 2017, the car was meticulously maintainedoften serviced twice yearly regardless of mileage due to its mission-critical role. It was decommissioned at 112,500 miles and has since covered under 30,000 miles with one private keeper.
