Description

Here's my 2.0 Litre Sport Tech MX5, 158BHP, in Copper Red Metallic and I'm her 3rd Owner. She's the top of the range model and the one motoring journalists say is the one to own. Standard features are ABS, Alarm, Remote Central Locking, Electric windows & mirrors, Airbags etc, but the Sport Tech has the Power Retractable Hard Top roof (impressive, quieter and, unlike most convertibles, it doesn't take up any boot space so boot size is generous), full leather heated sports seats, 17" alloy wheels, fog lights, Cruise Control, A/C (Air Conditioning) Bluetooth and a BOSE sound system with CD multi-changer which sounds fantastic. Other noteworthy features are a 6 speed gearbox and the fact that, unlike the 1.8 litre, it has a Limited Slip Diff and Traction Control - a must for amazing grip and giving you the confidence to enjoy driving a rear wheel drive car. Previous owner takes the credit for the upgrades that makes this an extra special example; Private plate - MX55 XKX Catback exhaust system (tail pipes are oval and bigger - lovely noise under acceleration). SmartTop module - standard car you have to stop to operate the roof and keep the button held but SmartTop allows one-touch operation and you can use it whilst moving) LED daytime running lights Rear parking sensors Stubby Aerial, larger transparent wind deflector and a leather steering wheel. Her service history is fantastic with 7 Mazda stamps and the rest all present and correct but cannot be listed as Full Service History (interval was missed - serviced Nov '17 then again April '19 due to winter garaging). New full set of Bridgestone tyres last June (including 4 wheel alignment - crucial for better handling) and new battery in November. MOT until November so 4 months but I am happy to discuss putting a new ticket on (MOT history is sound too). I've had her 8 months and am not keen to sell but we've had planning permission granted so will need the budget for building works . She is in excellent condition as she's been well looked after and garaged by all owners. I have 2 original keys. There is oxidation on the retractable hood panel (see pictures, it's common on these due to the primer on the aluminium). I haven't done anything to the paintwork other than polish and wax so she's as original as you'll find. In no rush to sell - she's a lovely example (I looked at many before deciding) so genuine interest only please. Any questions give me a call or message. Thanks
