Description
This car is in ridiculously good condition for its age. I mean, seriously, check out the photos and video - crazy how nice this car is.
I remember when we were shopping for it, every other similarly priced car we looked at had lots of scratches, dents, marks and bumps. This little beauty - a 2007 registered vehicle, (the car's the same age as my son we were buying it for) - was such a massive exception, it was like a lovely rose in a forest of thorns.
"Oh yeah? So why are you getting rid of it then?" / "what's the catch?"
Well there's no catch as such, but let's play a straight bat: a clown in a lorry clipped the front left corner while the car was parked on the street. The driver's company's insurance eventually coughed up, but the process was taking too much time and we decided to go and buy another car (another black Golf since you ask, lucked out again on condition/age ratio). As you can see, the damage was fully repaired and this lovely car has been restored to its previous sensational condition. There was no structural damage, just superficial work on the front bumper and a replacement headlight. I'll happily show interested prospective buyers photos of the damage so you get a clear picture of what was involved.
The guys at the bodyshop asked if we'd owned the car since new, such is its overall fabulous condition. (We bought it in October 2024, with two previous owners, who must've treated the car like a Ming vase). Anyway the bodyshop did a phenomenal job as you can see - when I picked it up I genuinely forgot there had been any damage at all.
This car runs beautifully. When it's idling it's remarkably quiet, when you rev the engine it has a very satisfying rasping sound. It's not sluggish at all, but it doesn't exactly fly off the mark: as such it's ideal for an early driver that doesn't require a huge amount of power. This also means it is in a cheap insurance group. Very comfortable seats and deceptively spacious, particularly surprising how much room your passengers in the back get.
So yeah, pretty gutted to be selling this badboy actually; it has grown fierce sentimental value in a relatively short time.
Would love to see this wonderful car go to a good home. If you can offer that and you promise to look after it in the way it's been accustomed to, get in touch!
