Selling my much loved TD5 Defender after 5 years of ownership. This example is mechanically very sound, I've rarely had much to do to pass an MOT and have just had it passed for another twelve months, having only had to change the FPR seals to stop a slow leak. It was refurbished by Walton Motors prior to me buying it, and has only done ~7,000 miles since that time. The chassis is solid - I've had the outriggers replaced, the read third was replaced just prior to my purchase and I had it professionally waxoyl'd ~ 2 years ago. In addition, I treat the internals of the bulkhead annually to be safe, replaced all the seals and use dum-dum tape to prevent water ingress as per the LR original guides. The engine is also solid, and bar replacing the injector seals to prevent the oil-ECU issue I've had nothing further to do on it. UJs and swivel housings have been replaced within the last 10k miles. The paint is showing its age and the primary reason for the sale is I simply don't have the time to do what I'd like to do to it and I'm saddened to see it not being used. There is minor damage to the capping at the rear left that would need the capping replaced - something a new owner would need to do anyway if going for a full refurb (can be seen on pic of rear crossmember). There are two rear seats currently installed but it will be sold with an additional two currently not being used. Also, there's a third seat in the front but I can provide a used centre-box as an option. There's sound deadening fitted throughout. I have chequer-plate covers for the side sills, again currently not being used, a full-size waterproof cover and the Haynes manual that are all included. The spare wheel is a full spare and has never been used. Security features include a remote immobiliser, locking pedal box, detachable steering wheel and locking fuel cap. Two keys and all the service history docs I've collected also provided. Bluetooth sound system with mic. Ultimately, this Defender is a fantastic workhorse or an ideal starter for a cosmetic upgrade / project and I want to see it being used. Sensible offers welcome.
