Description
For sale is my 2007 Subaru Forester STI SG9 JDM 6-speed manual in dark grey metallic.
I understand that the 2007 FSTI is one of only 67 cars manufactured in dark grey metallic, this colour reserved for the final year of the FSTI production and for the Japanese only market. Has to be very rare and sought after in the UK. The blue and white look good (don't like the silver, personal choice) but the dark grey metallic stands out for the right reasons.
It has 'the look' and on a weekly basis someone stops to complement its appearance and of course the note of the 2.5 litre boxer engine. I was even stopped by a policeman when queuing to go into a car park, turned out he was a Subaru enthusiast and knew the rarity of a dark grey FSTI.
The Subaru Forester STI was first registered (Japan) in May 2007 and was imported by specialists Torque GT Ltd and first registered in the UK on 30/05/2019. Torque GT provided comprehensive which is available with the FSTI. This includes pre-delivery inspection records, and a list of mods fitted in June 2019, which include, Rota alloys, and Stage 1 package, Hayward & Scott 2.5" CAT Back exhaust, AEM high flow fuel pump, mapping session, Tien lowering springs, Cusco front strut brace and Pioneer stereo. A Dyno Dynamics dynometer graph shows max 312.8hp which is a nice uplift from the standard 265hp. The underbody was treated with Dinitrol or similar when imported so no corrosion issues. There are also Torque GT service records dated 13/06/19 and 27/07/20, the latter for the first UK owner. Timing belt was replaced July 2020.
As a Subaru enthusiast I purchased the FSTI in September 2021 and have used it for a short daily commute.
The FSTI was MOTd in a NI Gov Centre with no defects recorded and the MOT is valid until 17 April 2026. In the past 100 miles the following maintenance has been carried out;
4 new Goodyear Eagles
Oil and filter change
Intake and pollen filters
New rear brakes complete; discs, pads, h/b shoes
All new hybrid wipers
Rally Armor mudflaps front & rear
I'm now 70 (old) so the car has had no B-road antics and minimal motorway driving. I had been using it for a 14 mile return daily commute but really the car offers much more. It would be a rare and 'sub-zero' (borrowed from the real 'Top Gear') addition to any Subaru meet. Also, with its massive boot and fold down rear seats there's loads of space for sporting gear, or moving house!
It looks great, is driving well and is sensibly priced.
