Description
Well Maintained but aesthetically scruffy Brera 3.2. I've owned the car since January 2019, mainly as a winter car. First owner servicing was a bit sketchy (3.5 years / 10K between 2nd and 3rd service), but Cam Chain was replaced in 2016 (I have all invoices detailing all work carried out from this point on. Earlier services are stamps in service book).

Good Points:
Service history (in my ownership, its been maintained as if its a "minter").
4 Continental All Season Contact Tyres with 6mm+
MOT Until May 26
Excellent MOT History
New Battery
Air Con Recharged a couple of years back and still blowing cold
Poly Bushes Front Lower Arm / Rear
Recent Front Wheel Bearings / Front Pads / Battery
Bad Points:
MOT Advisories on Slightly Worn Front Discs / Corroded brake pipe / rattling Heat Shield / damaged exhaust clamps
One Prop shaft Bearing has significant wear. It was packed with silicone two years back and is holding up well (no juddering but occasional squeaking where repaired bearing is spinning in mount). A pair of new bearings is included with car , but fitting is a major job. Happy to discuss this.
Drivers door and boot leak a little in heavy rain.
Passenger seat does not fold forward.
After Market Head Unit fitted, but audio only attached to front door speakers (I removed and binned after-market amp and subwoofer). No Autochanger in boot.
It's an 18 year old Alfa. It has been totally reliable in my ownership and still drives very nicely , but it is obviously sold "as seen".
Ugly Points:
Paintwork - The Bonnet is a total mess and lacquer is begining to peel elsewhere.
Impossible to clean cross-spoke alloys...horrible things!
Price reflects the fact that the car doesn't owe me much and I am only using it once a week now (purely to keep the battery charged) , so road tax is costing me way more than petrol.
If someone has the time / skills to sort the paintwork, it could be a pretty decent Brera for not a lot of money. Otherwise, it works well as it is as a Winter Hack / Daily Shed.
