Description
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY.
This vehicle comes with a valid MOT until June 2026 and just serviced in readiness for its new owner to include oil & filter, Aircon re-gas and new drivers side drop link. There are however a number of items that are not perfect and will potentially need to be addressed at some point in the future.
There is a noticeable knocking from the drivers side when driving on bumpy roads which we think may be a shock absorber. There are a number of scratches, dinks and dents to the paintwork, scuffs to the alloys and various marks to the interior. All the above items do not detract from the overall appearance and rather getting involved in getting the vehicle Mint we have instead left this for a new owner to decide how far they want to go and have instead priced it significantly less than the suggested Autotrader valuation.
Now for some general information:
Offered for sale is this 2010 VW Caravelle showing 2 owners on the V5 but actually the same driver from new as he bought it from Motability when the lease ended.
Currently registered as a Disabled vehicle. Professionally Adapted from new with lowered centre floor giving more headroom, hand controls which could be removed if not required and full air suspension plus an electric ramp for easy wheelchair access. A smaller steering wheel has been fitted to accommodate the hand controls.
The vehicle has been used for its intended purpose and has taken the owner all over Europe on many occasions. We are told that the engine was replaced in 2015 by VW and has covered ca 40,000 miles since but currently only have verbal confirmation of this so we are not able to legally substantiate this claim. There is however a plate on top of the Oil Cooler showing that this was replaced around the same time.
Both the Cambelt and water pump were replaced in 2020 and the DSG gearbox was also serviced at the same time at 100 209 miles.
There is a stamped service book with 6 Main Dealer stamps and several specialist ones plus invoices and receipts for work carried out.
The interior is part suede/ leather and both front seats are heated. Both sliding doors are electrically operated giving easy access and exit. The rear seat slides, folds flat into a day bed with 3 storage compartments below.
I have personally driven the van for the past few weeks and other than the suspension knock mentioned above I found it to drive very well. Includes both the tow bar and Rhino roof rack.
