Description
BMW E93 M3 - Silverstone II with Silverstone Interior - EDC | CIC | Rod Bearings Done | Specialist Maintained
After a long and patient search, I finally found this example my perfect spec and condition that I had been holding out for. Finished in Silverstone II metallic over Silverstone Novillo leather, it's a timeless and elegant combination that looks great and gets loads of compliments. The paint looks incredible in different lighting, and the interior feels special a welcome contrast to the more common black.
- Spec Highlights
EDC (Electronic Damper Control) - A must for UK roads. Non-EDC cars felt too stiff and compromised for real-world use.
Updated CIC iDrive - Far superior to the earlier CCC system. I originally planned to install CarPlay, but never got around to it as this was my second car, used only during the summer.
Silverstone II exterior / Silverstone interior - One of the cleanest and most desirable colour combinations.
Throttle actuators - Already replaced by the previous owner.
Rod bearings & engine mounts - Done proactively by Munich Power (renowned M car specialists).
- Maintenance & Condition
Before purchasing, I had a full inspection carried out the car came back remarkably clean. Nonetheless, I booked it straight into Munich Power, who carried out:
Updated rod bearings
New OEM engine mounts
Extended service
General preventative maintenance
The removed rod bearings showed no notable wear, which was reassuring and shows the car had clearly been looked after properly prior to my ownership. Still, it's a Schrodinger's cat situation you never know until it's done. The peace of mind is worth every penny and the garage commented that these were some of the cleanest RB that they had seen.
Since then, all maintenance in my care has been handled exclusively by BMW M car specialists (Munich Power
BMS Surrey)
Notable work includes:
- New alternator
- Rear tyres replaced with Michelin PS4s
- Regular servicing and proactive maintenance, brakes etc.
The car has been incredibly reliable and well-mannered it's always warmed up properly (oil temp and level before taking above 3k revs - important as the oil is thick). It's kept in a secure indoor garage and only brought out for fair-weather driving.
I've included plenty of photos in various lighting to try to show the condition of the paintwork and interior.
A growing family and a recent house move mean I no longer have the luxury of keeping two cars. Very sad to see it go.
