Description
For Sale, this BMW Z4M E86 that I've had the pleasure of owning since Oct-24.
It took a long time of to find this example that came with good service history and upgrades and light sepang leather (not the commo beige leather)
I got to know the previous two owners well, true enthusiasts so I had trust in their care and upgrades to the car. Under my care, the only known engine maintenance issue has been rectified, therefore, the Rod Bearings were replaced earlier in 2025 by "Munich Power", one of the best BMW specialists in Surrey. I still have the Old Bearings and they were in good condition which is testament to the previous owners. I don't regret spending a considerable sum for peace of mind.
I bought this car because I've admired it's design since they were first seen on UK roads and I wanted to know what its like to drive and learn more about the legendary S54 Engine. In my opinion an
E86 Z4M presents the purest sports chassis/platform out of the M division and the Chris Bangle/Tomasz Sycha design has stood the test of time and is getting more admirable and unique, thanks to BMWs becoming more and more convoluted and confused both mechanically and from a design standpoint. As a previous driver of an E36/E46 M3s I can say this is the most focused vehicle with a wonderful chassis/S54 Engine.
Why sell? I started suffering from lower back and sciatica pain therefore, I'm finding it harder to drive manual cars which is tough to accept.
A common criticism of the stock Z4M is the ride quality/braking performance. The previous owners upgraded the bushings (powerflex), wheels, tyres (replaced run flats to Michelin) and Suspension to Bilsteins (B6s I believe). Impeccable combination.
Before buying it I watched reviewers on YouTube complaining about ride quality but these upgrades have created a stable, focused and sharp M Sports Car for the road. In recent years the cars had alignment by a specialist.
This BMW was comprehensively serviced by BMW main dealer and by well known BMW specialists "Everything M3s" which are notorious amongst enthusiasts as they keep getting featured by Chris Harris. So, the Vanos is in fantastic condition.
New engine mounts, oil and new oil filter was included in the Rod Bearing maintenance therefore it's benefitted from a recent oil service too albeit not one that registers officially.
Stored in a garage/indoor car park so no rust or degradation.
A friend offered me 16,800GBP so I'm not accepting offers below this figure.
