Description

Selling my 2007 Audi S8 (D3) 5.2L V10 due to a change in circumstances (career change and need to fund university studies!). The car comes with an extensive service record and recent MOT (3rd June 2025) with 1 minor advisory (CV joint boot), but is currently SORNed as I do not drive the car regularly and have not done so for ~2 years (however I do regularly run it on private roads to keep the battery charged, the brakes rust-free, and the mechanicals running smoothly). My previous job required me to drive long motorway distances, so this is primarily what I used the car for, as well as on special occasions. The 90L fuel tank would get 800-900km range at 70mph/115kmh, giving a pleasantly surprising mpg of ~25. Around town, the fuel economy drops into the teens; this is the type of driving I mainly do now - hence the reason for sale! This car was imported from Japan in 2018 by a gentleman in Aberdeen (the car's 2nd owner) and then bought by myself in 2023. Being a Japanese model, the speedo and odo are in km. I would have liked to swap the MMI modules to UK versions, however I never got around to this. I have a full list of part numbers and believe the cost for the conversion to be ~1000. The previous owner had a spot of bad luck with the car, having to replace the timing chains at a cost of ~4,500, however since I purchased the car it has not given me any problems. This car has everything specified, including the coveted Bang & Olufsen surround sound system, with one key exception - steel brake rotors rather than carbon-ceramic. Finding an example without the carbon brakes was important to me as although they can last up to 100,000 miles, the cost of replacement is eye-watering (at least 5x the cost to replace the steels!). An Audi OEM flat-bottom steering wheel is fitted - the original round S8 steering wheel will be included with the sale. The car drives beautifully; quiet and refined on the motorway, with brutal acceleration accompanied by an exotic V10 howl when ground needs covering quickly. Despite it's size, the all-aluminium body keeps weight down to below 2t, making it surprisingly agile. Test drives only permitted with proof of day insurance. Happy to answer any questions!
