Description
1997 Alfa Romao spyder 2.0 twin spark. Just over 110,000 miles
I bought this a bit over 2 years ago, and although I have very much enjoyed owning it, I currently have too many cars, and could do with some money for my honeymoon in September, hence it is reluctantly up for sale.
The car is overall in great condition, having been very well looked after by its previous owners, with extensive service history to show this. I have recently paid for a new alternator to be fitted, replacement steering rack, and recently fitted a new clutch master cylinder, and a bushing in the gear linkage. As such, the car is ready to be enjoyed over the summer, with only some minor things that will need attention, as detailed below.
Bad bits
Recently passed its MOT, but needs two front tyres, and one of the wheel bearing has a little bit of play in it, so will need doing at some point (not urgent though).
Radio aerial is stuck in up position (quite common apparently)
Slight dent underneath the car on the sill on both sides, probably where it was jacked up. Not mentioned on any MOT so not really an issue in my opinion.
Good bits
Good condition overall, with just a few chips and scratched of the sort you would expect with a car of this age. Paint comes up very well. The interior is in good condition, with just a bit of wear on the gear stick and steering wheel.
Manually operated hood in very good condition.
No mechanical issues other than those mentioned above, and therefore drives very well.
Registration R14LFA (sort of says ALFA) comes with the car, along with two sets of plates with different spacing (R14 LFA and R1 4LFA).
Extensive service history at Alfa specialists with thousands spent over the years. New alternator, replacement steering rack, new clutch master cylinder, and gear linkage bushing.
