Description

I bought this beautiful spider in 2020 with 40250 miles and it now only has 40869 miles and it presents incredibly well. The reason I am selling this car is that I need to thin out my collection of 13 cars, I'm not using this enough and feel it's now time to pass it onto a fellow Alfisti or classic car enthusiast! MOT Exempt now. The MOT Certificates from 2003 to 2020 verify this mileage. The mileage during my ownership is relatively low due to me owning several other cars but I have never taken it out in the wet or in the winter where the risk of road salt is high! During my ownership it has always been dry stored. Comes with a stack of receipts from previous owners and myself from 1998 to 2025 totaling over 9000 in parts alone, notable expenditure: * New soft top in 2002 @ 300 + installation * Gearbox and housing replaced in 2011 @ 1150.16 * Remove and refurb seats 2017 & fit custom rubber matting to floors and boot @ 1479.60 * 2025, new spark, leads and distributer cap replaced and a new battery. * The wheels have been bead blasted, and re-powder coated too with 2 new tyres on the rear too. (The new centre caps are supplied with the car but I'm not happy that they are period correct so haven't put them on.) Also comes with a workshop manual, Alfa Romeo parts manual, Original Owners Manual & electric ignition manual. The car polishes up well and while the chrome has a genuine patina to it, that polishes up well too. The engine bay has has had a light detailing but nothing that would take away any of the patina which I so like with cars of this age. As an example the airbox is genuine and looks of it's period. The car is in good mechanical order, it starts and drives with no problem at all, mainly because it has the electric ignition. There are however a few items of maintenance which you might want to take care of if you were planning to do regular mileage in it. * There is a slow engine oil leak, this is a relatively normal issue with cars and engines of this age and has never been a major concern to me. * Brake overhaul / recommissioning due to low use over the last 5 years. * There are a couple of areas under the boot of the car where surface rust can be seen but this is not structural. All in all this is a beautiful car which will serve you well either as a piece of garage art or a useable classic!
