Description

The E39... where BMW build quality and design peaked! I am the third owner since the car was new, very original with large file of service invoices and records dating back to 1999 - received an engine service + transmission service in October 2024 with new oil cooler pipes, suspension springs, fuel sender and tank straps. Superb and desirable colour combination of Oxford Green Metallic over the Sand interior with polished "Vavona" wood trim, optioned with the famous X-spoke BMW dished alloys, Loudspeaker audio system upgrade (which is incredible) and also the M-Sport Suspension, steering wheel upgrade and front seats which are super comfortable. The car runs and drives extremely well, doesn't burn oil, maintains perfect temp, no leaks or noises, delivers all the performance and is super smooth with the strong Auto gearbox, the original toolkit remains in the boot, has both keys and is very original throughout - the car has not been modified in any way. Cosmetically - the car does have a few small and very minor points of surface corrosion in unobvious places, the wheels could use a refurbishment to look their best (not kerbed, just surface corrosion on painted finish) and the odd stone chip to the bonnet/rear arches. The chrome window surround on one side is slightly tarnished but again, very commensurate cosmetic stuff considering the car is 26 years old. This year I have had the front discs and pads replaced and the wheels balanced for optimum driving pleasure, I have also had the rear badge and all four wheel centres renewed with original BMW parts from Germany. The E39 5-Series was a dream car for me in this colour and with the 3.5L V8 engine, so very glad to have achieved owning one but a house move means it would be impractical to take with me at this moment in time. Not many of these (one at time of advertising on AT) for sale in the UK at the moment however I am pricing realistically at 7,995 but would be open to sensibly reasonable near offers.
