Selling my vr6.
I've owned this car for 3years, only used as a Sunday toy.
But it's time to for the old girl to move on.
I'll try and list everything I've done.
3 door vr6, late model so comes with heated leather, heated mirrors and washer jets.
Engine has had the head ported and polished with titanium valves, high lift cams fitted.
Schrick inlet manifold.
Poly engine mounts.
6 branch tubular manifold, scorpion stainless exhaust.
Car is lowered on h&r shocks and springs.
New wishbones, TT solid bushes.
LCR front calipers.
17" TT comps, 195 40 17 tyres, 3 goodyears & 1 falken.
02j shift tower, and gear cables, short shift gear selector.
Steering wheel retrimmed, by royal wheels.
Perforated leather, carbon horn buttons.
Head liner retrimmed in alcantara.
All the grey interior plastics, flocked in black.
Dimple dash from 3.5 cab.
Alarm immobiliser, does central locking.
Recently had LUk clutch fitted.
Starter motor & battery.
Oil change
New rear calipers last year
New heater matrix
Probably loads I've forgotten.
Tons of history, file full of receipts.
Drives well/ goes well.
Bad bits, all old cars have them.
Schrick inlet is missing the control unit, so the variable inlet doesn't work. But the inlet with the cams works nicely, gives a nice power curve threw the revs.
Both window regs are tired, they work but are a little slow.
Rear screen has mount for brake light, late golf's don't have 3rd brake light, only rear screen I could get hold of after sumone smashed it.
Nearside wing is from earlier car, wrong indicator. Previous owner replaced wing.
Body work is good, sum minors, nothing bad.
Tiny but of laquer peel on front on roof, 10mm ish.
