Before taking ownership, he asked us to carry out a 'belt and braces' exercise to ensure all of the common Boxster failings were addressed, and to this end we carried out the following: Replaced all of the cross over coolant pipes and fittings Fitted a new RMS seal Fitted a new three-piece Sachs clutch Inspected the IMS bearing and removed the troublesome oil seal Fitted new exhaust manifold to catalyst gaskets & clamps Carried out a major service including spark plugs, engine / gearbox oil and coolant Fitted new heater control buttons Unfortunately, the car wasn't used as much as intended, and having covered less than 500 miles in his ownership the decision was made to let somebody else enjoy this fantastic sports car and the car winged its way back to Franklins Towers. Originally supplied by Porsche Centre Belfast, the car was subsequently purchased from Porsche financial services by renowned Porsche Specialists Paragon. Mrs Williams purchased the car from them as a retirement present to herself, and it remained in her care for the next 11 years, at which time we purchased the car directly from her.
