Welcome to the sale of a much-loved MX-5 NC 2.0 Sport coupe. This one is COMPLETELY unmodified and very original. It still has delivery stickers attached in Japanese. The body is very straight, panel gaps all equal and very importantly the car is rust free. The underside, wheel arches ect are all very clean. Drainage holes have been maintained frequently. The car is approaching 20 years of age and there are some signs. As seems to be common with MX-5's of this era some of the paint has spotted on the edge of the top roof panel and the lid which lifts to hide the roof when the top is down. This is due to the material these panels are made from not due to any underlying issue. There is some lacker peel on the rear panel iv tried to show this in the photos. The electric folding roof works perfectly, smooth and glitch free. Alloy wheels are straight and true with no cracks or buckles, wrapped in Michelin ps4 tires on the back and ps5 front with good tread depth all around.
The interior is in very good condition for 90k, leather seats are free form rips and tears. No fag burns or stains. Drivers bolster leather is worn but not damaged. The seat bolsters are good, no sagging or creaking anywhere. Everything works as it should, including the period correct iPod connection cable! The AC blows cold and fresh. Bose sound system is clear and smooth no blown speakers or tweeters, the 6 disk changer works on all the slots. The original Mazda fitted floor mats are present and correct. Dash lights are bright, and all illuminated as they should.
The real strength and stand out of this car however is the service record. It has been serviced every year bar a gap between 2014-2015 where it traveled a truly galactic 11,000 mile's. The history is mainly by Mazda main dealer's with the occasional MX-5 specialist. When I bought the car in 2019 on 52,000 miles from Kent MX-5 specialists it proved almost impossible to fine one with regular service history regardless of the milage like this one. There is a large folder of paperwork accompanying the car, the electronic service record is up to date. It starts first time every time, gearbox is the typical smooth bullet proof Mazda 6-speed unit which was last service 13,000 miles ago. Car rides well no knocks or bangs on the Bilstein shocks. Two keys included.
We really will be very sad to see it go it hit the brief perfectly, I have no doubt it will continue to be a fantastic car for the new owner to enjoy.
