Description
I have owned it since 2015 as a family van. In the last 12 months it has had a new turbo, EGR valve, shock absorbers, exhaust, clutch and flywheel the drive belt was done in December.
A couple of years ago, I bought new VW 17 inch alloys and all the wheels have plenty of life on them.
Ive tried to picture the bad bits described below:
It has some rust damage around the Combi doors that will need spraying. I understand this is a common problem.
I recently knocked the wing mirror - upper and lower part of the driver side will need to be replaced. The electric fold mechanism seems to be in good order.
The front bumper hit a pigeon a couple of years ago and it has that grill on it to save getting a new bumper but there is damage underneath the grill.
One of the Combi doors has a a mark the size of a coin in it where I hit a gate.
It is very clean inside, air conditioning works very well snd I upgraded the stereo to a new vw one with airplay etc
It has started using more oil than it used to so about every 400 miles I have to top up,
It's always starts well but sometimes with white smoke.
I had the crank seal replaced last month to see if it stopped the oil use. My mechanic tells me the EGR inlet pipe needs replacing soon.
In 2023 a driver drove into the back of me and the back door tailgate was replaced as well as the bumper and towbar- all new. It was done as an insurance claim against the other driver but not a write off or anything like that. This isn't noticeable.
It is a really nice van to drive hence I've owned it for the last 10 years. I am just.looking to upgrade.
I bought it with the private plate on and this will be included.
The interior roof and rear have been insulated, boarded with plywood and and carpeted. Storage in wheel arch boxes.
