My daughter's car for the last 5 years, has been very reliable and never let us down. Reluctant sale due to lack of use. We have kept it well maintained during our ownership with servicing, new brake discs/pads all round, 2 recent new tyres etc. Registered new on 22/12/2003 by VW main agent Ashford Volkswagen. The good bits: - MOT until August 2026 - Mechanically strong with good engine/gearbox. Reliable and drives very well - 97,425 miles from new with MOT certificates to confirm - Attractive in navy blue with 'S' specification which includes cream leather interior - Rust free - Economical to run 50+mpg - Hood bag included The bad bits: - A few age related scratches and dings - Rear side windows don't operate on electrics. Believed to be broken pulley wires, a common fault on these cars. Motors can be heard running OK. We just leave the windows up. - Intermittent water leak into driver's footwell. Blocked windscreen drain hole? - Air bag warning light illuminated. Garage advises us the fault is with the warning light and that the airbag system is fine. The above issues have existed throughout our ownership and have not spoilt our enjoyment of this safe & reliable car. Asking price reflects the above issues.
