Lovely Freelander 2 which has really impressed me. It was purchased as a daily driver while my trusty Saab Convertible had rather a lot of work carried out for the MOT. In my ownership the Haldex unit was serviced using Mannol AWD 8100 fully synthetic fluid. This preserves the function of the switchable 4 wheel drive system. Some Freelander 2s have the prop shaft removed when Haldex units play up making the vehicle front wheel drive only. The engine oil has been changed in the past week using C1 LSZ 5w-30 to preserve the reliable function of the particulate filter ( low SAPS oil ) Neither of these oils are cheap Additionally the crankshaft sensor has also been replaced. These have a reputation when older for intermittent failure giving the feel of the ignition being switched off momentarily This is a reliable vehicle I've used regularly for the school run & ferrying parts and tools to my boat. It has age related marks in the paint & headlamps but it is relatively low mileage for its age The tailgate micro switch & bonnet struts have also been replaced It will be sold with a new MOT It has Land Rover floor mats back & front
