Volvo V50 Sport (2008) Owned since 2018. Has been annually serviced and necessary repairs kept on top of (full receipts for all expenses available). Was to be kept running on this basis, however we are now looking after another car for at least 6 months and it makes no sense to keep this at the same time. There are some minor issues that have not been fixed: - The centre console lights (for air con, heated seats etc) do not light up. They very intermittently come on, so this is a suspected loose connection somewhere. All the buttons function, just without the lights. - An airbag service message is showing. This too is potentially electrical. It has been left as it is not an MOT fail. - The gearbox "crunches" into second gear from first, if changed quickly or when cold. Changing down from third the synchro is worn completely. It has been driven as such for over 5 years - As it doesn't impact on its use, a replacement of the gearbox has not been seen as economical. - An exhaust bracket may be due to be replaced soon as it can be heard rattling on acceleration. Some wear to interior, significant in places - in overall used condition in line with age and mileage. Bodywork is mostly clean and tidy, with a few minor scuffs. Wheels are in a similar condition, please see pictures. Overall the car still drives great and continues to be very reliable. All features are working (heated seats, electric mirrors/windows, air conditioning, cruise control) and there is a brand new MOT on the vehicle. Looking online there are V50s of similar age/mileage on sale for more, which may well have their own issues, but I'd rather be clear that this is not a showroom car! It will, I'm sure, do someone else a turn, but it has been used and maintained as a runner. It has been therefore been priced with a reduction in line with the issues listed above and its overall condition.
