Description
1953 Morris Minor MM Tourer factory convertible 918cc Side Valve in Cellulose Cream with new black vinyl hood, battery and vgc red interior with new carpet.
Purchased by father in May 1981 and restored by us over many years but having only done less than 50 test drive miles in the last 44 years with only 92300 miles showing on the original clock. Lots of receipts with recent recon engine recon gearbox, steering etc etc. Collection of old parts manuals and extra trinkets available - a heater for example. Small blisters on boot but all else was welded up many years ago and it was then kept in a garage after a full respray so still looking great with just a polish. Many photos. Great useable long term car for a keen Morris Minor enthusiast with the added benefit of having the old split windscreen, side valve, positive earth and open topped motoring to make it more interesting. Correct rear wing profile. Great Wedding care for example. One wheel rim just needs it's bolt holes smoothed off as someone had left the bolts loose so they caused a bit of wear in the distant past. The year means the wheels they put on Morris Minors from early 1950's onwards are different so they will not fit on this MM. Needs a spare too. But someone will have some correct MM rims in the future but at present those available have just been too far away to bother with. Gone right through the rest of car as it was supposed to be kept for good but now it needs to go to a good home to pamper and use it. Loads more photos of the work done before and then after with some bits and pieces/books kept back in boxes. Manuals and the simplicity of everything means anyone can work on this car with ease. Purchaser to collect as private sale.
