Description

I have owned and very much enjoyed this M3 for the last 12 years. It is a completely original 3 Owner M3 which is very rare to see these days. In my opinion it is in exceptional condition for the age and mileage! Over the last few years it has been garaged and barely used, and so it is time to let it go. I bought it at about 22,000 miles and it has now covered a total of 109,700. During that time it has been well looked-after by a local specialist (I learned very early that the local BMW dealers didn't seem to care enough about older or specialist cars). Through my ownership it has had very few issues. It needed replacement Vanos pulley-wheel bolts many years ago - since when, no related issues. It has a slight clutch judder when cold (which it has had for a number of years, but doesn't seem to get any worse), and it has a slight grumble which happens only very occasionally but not consistently, and I'm advised may indicate a future problem with the diff. So far, no more worrying than that. In my ownership at least, it has never been subjected to launch control and it has never been tracked by me, either (it's always better to do track days with other peoples' cars!). Paintwork is very good - with just a couple of signs of corrosion (osr wing and passenger mirror). The interior is in good condition bar some stitching wear on the 'external' side bolsters (which I'd say is pretty typical). The alloys were refurbished in recent years so whilst not perfect, they are in good condition, and there is minimal kerbing. The last service was undertaken c.1,200 miles ago (in late Oct'23) and it has a full service history - from the same specialist for the last 11 years. What has been really nice to see when we have taken the car on trips (like the NC 500) is that these E46 cars draw a lot of compliments. It is 20 years old so cannot be perfect and it will take some care. But it's one of the best cars I've ever owned and I hope someone loves it as much as I have. Although sold as seen, I believe it to be an 'honest' car. I have a video walkaround available. Any questions please ask.
