Description

For sale is my 2015 Tesla Model S 85D, a fantastic example of a golden era of Tesla manufacturing. If you're looking for a long-range EV with virtually no running costs, this is the one. The headline feature is FREE, transferable Supercharging for the life of the car. This isn't a subscription or a trial; you can travel across the UK and Europe for free, forever. Every time you plug into a Supercharger, you're costing Elon Musk money, which is a fun little bonus. This is the highly sought-after 85D (Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive) model. Crucially, it uses the more robust small rear drive unit, avoiding the common and costly issues associated with the large drive units in the Performance (P85/P85+) and Rear-Wheel Drive (85) models of the same era. Key Features & Upgrades: Free Lifetime Supercharging: The ultimate feature. Road trips are practically free. MCU2 Infotainment Upgrade: A significant and expensive upgrade that modernises the car completely. The screen is fast, responsive, and includes Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, etc., for when you're charging. Highway Autopilot (AP1): The legendary 'Mobileye' Autopilot. Many enthusiasts consider AP1 to be more intuitive and reliable on the motorway than later versions. It's a fantastic system for long journeys. Reliable Coil Spring Suspension: No complex and failure-prone air suspension here. This car is fitted with standard coil springs, meaning a comfortable ride with thousands of pounds in potential repair bills avoided. Excellent Battery Health: I consistently see over 220 real-world miles on a 100% charge, which is excellent for a car of this age and mileage. Condition & History: The car is in great condition for its 167,000 miles. As expected, there are a few scuffs on the front bumper and other minor age-related imperfections, but it presents very well overall. I am the second owner of the car. It comes with 2 keys and a large folder of service history. This was a 77,000 car when new, and it has been looked after. Peace of mind comes from knowing that major work has already been completed: The rear drive unit was replaced under Tesla warranty in 2022. Most of the front suspension arms have been replaced. The car drives beautifully with no knocks or bangs. It's a quiet, comfortable, and incredibly powerful machine that has been a joy to own.
