Description

DODGE CHARGER POLICE INTERCEPTOR OVERVIEW: The car is a 2014 model Police Pursuit Sedan with a V6 3.6 litre 3604cc engine and 5 speed automatic transmission, though it actually came off the production line on 26/11/13, so has a 2013 registration number. It was purchased by the city of Newport News in Virginia for their police department and registered on 16/01/15. It was retired from service early in 2024, purchased by the current owner and shipped to the UK in July of the same year. A full IVA wasn't required, as it was over ten years old, though it did need to have a light conversion as required by UK regulations. The car was carefully maintained during its time with the police and is in excellent condition for a retired service vehicle. It was thoroughly checked by a garage which specialises in American vehicles when it was imported and no mechanical problems were found. Its latest MOT was on 16/07/25 and it passed first time with no advisories. As is usually the case with retired police vehicles, the car was stripped of its livery and some specialist equipment when it was decommissioned, but it has been upfitted to as close an approximation of its service condition as UK law will allow and now sports the following features: * Newport News Sheriff livery (the word 'Police' wasn't used to avoid legal complications). * Red and blue light bar with integrated siren/PA system, and additional red and blue lights at the front. These attach to the car by way of magnets and plugs, meaning they can be be removed and stored away when it is being driven on public roads. * Halogen spotlight. * Pro-gard push bumper. * Pro-gard steel and polycarbonate single prisoner partition system. * Motorola XTL5000 VHF/UHF radio with antenna. * Panasonic CF-19 Toughbook laptop mounted on a RAM stand. * Police interior roof light with red and white settings. * Sliding boot tray. CONDITION DETAILS: The bodywork is well above average for a retired police car. It has minor scratching and some very small dents in places, but there is no significant damage and no visible sign of rust/corrosion. The interior is also in good condition. There is wear and tear in places as you would expect, but there are no missing missing or damaged parts. Please note, the rear is fitted with a plastic seat. The owner carried out VIN checks prior to purchase and there were no accident, salvage or flood records shown against it. The factory build sheet and some maintenance details are available.
