Would love to have the power, pace and sporty drive of a Scirocco R but put off by the higher price and increased costs of insurance, road tax, fuel, servicing and maintenance? Then here's the answer. Need for Bank of Dad funds means reluctant sale of this truly exceptional 181bhp higher powered diesel Bluemotion Tech GT. I treated myself to it a year ago as a second car, it was easily the best available, in superb condition with low miles, full documented service history and 6000 pounds of added spec (listed below) and now a further 1300 pounds of enhancements have made it even more special and a very worthy alternative to the petrol R, not just because its much cheaper to own and run, but also in terms of performance and driving pleasure. Upgrades are as follows: REVO professional stage one ECU remap increasing power by 20% to 220 bhp and more importantly torque by 35% to 380 lb ft, all within manufacturers tolerances and with absolutely no engine modifications or detriment to its real average fuel consumption of 45mpg ( a no brainer but reversible if required) Very subtle Milltek exhaust system fitted with stand out embossed dual tailpipes (not loud, think more rolling thunder under acceleration) Light and subtle door window tints Authentic R badging for front, rear and even steering wheel to fool all but the Scirocco experts! So the car looks great visually and importantly for the enthusiastic driver, its a hoot to drive. its a lightweight, agile and nimble sporty coupe with a great sound track. Smooth and powerful in everyday driving but transforms into a luxury Go Kart when you fancy doing your Louis Hamilton impression. Granted, its not quite as quick off the mark as an R but trust me, the increase in torque means the superior in-gear acceleration more than compensates for this. Optional extras on this car are Indium grey paint, 18in Lisbon Alloys, (best choice) rare Ivory white heated leather, Xenon lights (cornering), tinted rear glass, logo mats, carbon electric folding mirrors, mud flaps all round, updated built in Satnav, Dynaudio sound with subwoofer, parking sensors front and rear, cruise control (not standard!) and climate control. Long MOT (no advisories) Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres all round with plenty of tread, alloys in VGC and not yet ready for refurb and plenty of wear left in brake discs/pads.
