Description

Mercedes Benz E55 Avantgarde 2000 W210 62,000 miles MB Service History The W210 E55 AMG was the last AMG model to be hand-built at Affalterbach before MB integrated AMG production with its main assembly lines. This makes it a true piece of AMG history and highly sought-after among collectors. I acquired this E55 in June 2011, and it has been carefully stored in a heated garage ever since. At the time of purchase, it had covered around 55,000 miles; today, it has just over 62,000 miles on the clock. Everything works exactly as it should. The car benefits from only MB main dealer service history. In 2012, it received a comprehensive "full monty" service at Mercedes-Benz Peterborough, costing around 1,600 at the time. Brake fluid has been renewed every 4-5 years, and in 2020 it returned to Peterborough Mercedes for another routine service. Have a look at how many are still registered - the curve's going downhill faster than a shopping trolley on a steep hill! These are becoming increasingly rare - largely due to some MB cost-cutting on the primer at the time, which meant many succumbed to rust far sooner than they should have. This example, however, is solid, especially in all the usual problem areas. It wears correct ZR-rated Michelin tyres, and the AMG Monoblock wheels remain spotless with no curb marks. It still has the original unused Michelin spare. Mercedes centre caps were replaced a few years ago. Remarkably, the car still retains its original factory-fitted Mercedes exhaust system - a rare find. Accompanying the car is a extensive history file, including all MOT certificates back to 2010, the original service book, and all factory-supplied manuals. There are only three former keepers. Please note: the cherished reg number currently displayed is not included in the sale. MOT'd to 26/08/26. In 2019, Mercedes Driver magazine contacted me to contribute to their feature on the W210 E55 AMG, and you can read their write-up as part of the history file. It has taken me several years to come to the decision to sell, but the reality is it simply isn't being used as it should be. It's now time for someone else to enjoy and appreciate this wonderful AMG. To this day, I believe the W210 E55 AMG remains an iconic early-2000s performance saloon. A trailblazer for modern AMG models, its distinctive Monoblock wheels and subtle yet purposeful styling are highly prized among enthusiasts. This example is about as original and authentic as you're likely to find
