Description

Loads of documents to support the work done on this exceptional MGB. In excellent condition, above and below. 1.8L petrol, 4 speed manual with overdrive. Great looking MGB in excellent condition. Tax and MOT exempt. This car was rebuilt in the 1990's and had a new heritage body fitted and painted in about 1996. The paint finish is better than many modern factory cars. The wire wheels are in excellent condition and includes a spare in the boot. The spare needs a clean up. All tyres are great, loads of tread. Most suspension, brakes and drive parts were replaced during the rebuild and the car appears to have not been driven in the wet since. I keep it in a garage. The underside is exceptionally clean but some oil is leaking from the end of the gearbox. I've had this looked at and it needs a new oil seal where the drive shaft fitting is, but it's only a minor leak and very driveable. The engine starts easily and runs perfectly, but can sometimes run on a little when you switch off the ignition. All the electrics work apart from the stereo which sometimes turns on so I suspect a poor connection. The lights, indicators, twin horns, wipers and heater are all working well. The fuel tank has a seeping seam at the top of the tank, so if you fill her right to the top fuel can seep a little. I just fill the tank to 75% to avoid this. The interior is solid and clean. The glove box door lock is a little temperamental. The interior lighting is great, I love the little map light. The hood is very tidy and works perfectly. The clear perspex is good apart from a tiny crack in the left side quarter panel. She drives well and always makes me smile. The exhaust sound is great. This car is driving bliss with the top down on a sunny day. I'm selling because my wife wants a campervan and I've not got enough room or money for both.
