Description

2001 (Y reg) Landrover Defender 90, 2.5 TD5 County Station Wagon, 3 door in Alveston Red. 3 previous owners, 124k miles. MOT until 20th December 2025. No advisories on last MOT. Vehicle first registered 29th June 2001. This County Station Wagon is in good condition for a 24 year old vehicle and has given me sterling service. I've owned it since December 2016, having purchased it from the dealer who undertook servicing for the previous lady owner who ran it for 10 years. Since purchase I've done about 29k miles. The vehicle has a comprehensive service record (original and continuation service books). Since owning it I've had it serviced each year, with engine oil/filter change as a minimum. The last service was December 2024, which also included a brake fluid change. As far as I can tell from the service record, the vehicle has been serviced at recommended intervals, and the service record is available for inspection as are receipts for work I've had done. The rear cross member was recently replaced (June 2025), along with the tubular brackets securing the rear seatbelt frames to the rear cross member. Whilst the tank was off, a new fuel pump was also installed (the previous pump was fine but the integral fuel gauge sender was faulty and the only fix was a complete new pump). The chassis has been regularly sprayed with Waxoyl. A new battery was installed in December 2022. The engine fires first time, even in cold weather. This Defender has a proper County Station Wagon specification, with interior trim and carpets, sun roof, opening side windows, alloy wheels (with locking nuts), two front seats with cubby box and four rear seats (with seatbelts) which fold away to give full use of the load space (see photos). The specification includes rear wash/wipe and heated rear window, with privacy glass in the rear. The dog guard accessory is easily removable. I replaced the Land Rover radio/cassette player with a modern Pioneer radio/CD, but I still have the original unit. Other than that, I haven't modified it since purchase and I'm unaware of any previous modifications. The tool kit, including jack, is present, as is the original Owner Handbook. No towing or off-road use whilst I've owned it, just general road use (the vehicle didn't have a tow bar when I purchased it and I haven't fitted one). I'm happy to answer any further questions.
