This 2006 built SL55 is the last facelift for the R230 model and contains all the manufacture's improvements since the model was first produced in 2003. Having owned an earlier SL 55, this facelift is the much nicer car to own, look at, and drive. The 'Iridium Silver Metallic' paintwork on the car is in showroom condition and has been regularly protected with ceramic coating. The rarer combination of the light grey 'Alpaca' leather interior with 'ash wood' trimmings, panoramic roof and the silver metallic paintwork, give the car a very light and airy feeling compared to the much more common dark Mercedes black interiors. The car was first registered in July 2006 and I purchased it in May 2013 with 26,500 miles on the clock from the original lady owner - over the past 12 years it has only travelled another 7,400 miles to its current mileage of 33,900. In my ownership, it has always been garaged, regularly serviced and only rarely driven in 'wet' conditions. The huge specification includes Bi Zenon headlights, panoramic glass roof, parktronic, ventilated massage and heated seats with adjustable lumber support and memory function, electric folding mirrors, Sat Nav with Mercedes Command Information System, cruise control, paddle shifters, etc. The private plate has been removed and replaced with the original EY06 GNP with new V5. Tyres are all matching Pirelli P-Zeros with reasonable tread. The diamond cut alloys have been refurbished and in excellent condition with no kerbing or lacquer lifting. The car is accident free, was last serviced in May 2024 MOT'd in June 2025 and very recently had a full Mercedes inspection and check done which is available.
