Description
This 2009 BMW 318i SE has 136,000 miles and runs well. Timing chain professionally replaced just 10,000 miles ago (1,200+ job done) - this is the major expense with these engines after 100k miles. Petrol model - no diesel DPF issues to worry about at this age and mileage.
Note: See attached images from a recent BMW health check earlier this month. The report confirms the car is in good overall condition. As you can see, the brakes have 60% pad life remaining. The tyre treads are 6.9mm, 3.0mm, and 2.6mm. The 6.9mm tyre was replaced approximately. a year ago, indicating that the car has been properly maintained. All tyres are well above the legal MOT limit of 1.6mm
Key Features:
Timing chain replaced 10,000 miles ago (1,200+ pounds professional job done - receipt available, see images for invoice)
Recent service completed earlier this year
Interior in very good condition - exceptionally clean for age
3 months MOT remaining
2 keys included (spare key needs a battery)
3 previous owners
Part service history available
Condition:
Exterior: Typical age-related marks including light scratches, scuffs, kerbed alloys, and some minor wheel arch touch-up work. All clearly visible in photos and priced accordingly.
Interior: Very good condition - much cleaner than average for age.
Mechanical: Drives well, no warning lights. Timing chain replacement is major work already done.
Minor issue: Central locking works perfectly on all doors via remote except the driver's door, which requires manual key operation (common E90 issue - replacement part approximately 50 pounds). Door functions normally otherwise.
Good BMW with the expensive work done. Priced to sell quickly as I have a replacement car.
Update: The car is booked in for a full early MOT on the 2nd of September. The price will be increased to 1,895 once it has passed. This is your opportunity to buy before the price increase and take the car for its MOT yourself with confidence, as the recent health check confirmed its condition
