Description
VW Passat for sale. 2.0 litre, highline. Black with Black leather interior.
As you can see from the photos, the exterior of the car is a little rough round the edges cosmetically, the back bumper is quite scratched, the passenger door is slightly damaged and dented and squeeks badly when opened and the front offside wheel arch is corroded a bit a the top, as is the right side of the left rear tail light.
The car has covered a staggering 205,129 miles, but is still in daily use, so mileage will increase a little.
Still reading? OK then......
The good points....
The car has just passed an MOT giving it a long MOT until 20/08/2026
The car just needed a coil spring fitted to the offside rear to pass its test. 100 quid, Job done.
It has a few advisories, but nothing too serious. The Mot Advisories mentioned the sub frame is corroded at the rear, but not seriously weakened. I estimate the car should get at least another couple of years, before this sub frame job needs doing as it's only just been mentioned as an advisory this year 2025.
The car doesn't do too many miles these days, she's retired. Only covering 5k miles in the last 3 years.
Mechanically and electrically, the car is sound. Drives superbly. Had a new clutch and clutch master cylinder fitted 2k miles ago, and since then it's been like driving a new car. The fuel pump was also replaced about 1k ago, when it just suddendly stopped working luckily while parked. The car has also had a new battery fitted this year 2025.
The engine and gearbox are strong, and the gear changes are exceptionally smooth thanks to the new clutch, and no smoke from the exhaust. If you didn't know it had 205,000 miles on it, you wouldn't believe it! No creaks or rattles, engine sounds beautiful. The interior leather seats and the whole rest of the interior actually is in pretty mint condition to be honest. Test drives welcomed and encouraged.
Engine malfunction lights keeps coming on, but its been coming on and been reset for MOT for the last 5 years, there is no issue with the engine. I think it's a dodgy sensor somewhere to be honest. The car still drives fine, and doesn't go into stall mode.
Can be reset easily with diagnostics tool, which I will include with the car. The engine as far as I'm concerned is top notch. Never misses a beat.
Same owner for 6 years. V5 present, HPI clear, 2 working key fobs.
It's a solid car for the money. Come for a test drive.
