For sale is my 1996 Renault Laguna RT 2.0L 8V, painted in Alain Menu's iconic 1997 blue and yellow livery, with all the correct branding and logos. Originally the car was white, the previous owner's had the car painted (not wrapped) into the championship winning colours of the William's Renault Team. They also removed all of the interior from the middle of the car to the back, including the headlining, giving huge race car feel. The steering wheel has also been changed for a much smaller flat bottomed racing wheel. This car would make a brilliant display car or weekend toy, it's a race car for the road! The car recieved a mechanical overhaul last year by it's previous owners, who removed the engine, fully serviced it (including a new cambelt), fitted new gaskets and seals, and powder coated the cylinder block and head in black, meaning a very neat and presentable engine bay, as pictured. With this overhaul, fresh vented and drilled disc brakes were fitted to the front, along with new drum brakes for the rear. This car stops on a dime! A brand new radiator was also fitted along with a complete coolant refresh. The car is kept under a cover to protect from sun damage, bird droppings, and the weather in general. Modifications include: BTCC Style front bumper Phase 2 headlights Stainless steel back box Rear wiper delete Pioneer double-din DAB stereo with Apple Carplay (Original pioneer radio doesn't work as it requires a code, but will be included in the sale along with the removed piece of dash facia) x2 Vibe 6.5" Speakers Powder coated engine 18" Alloy wheels Upgraded drilled + vented front brakes Lowering springs on front suspension There are still things you could do yourself to get this car closer to the real thing: A front splitter to go with the custom BTCC style front bumper A massive rear wing Lowering springs on the rear suspension Racing seats fitting in the front (current seats incredibly comfortable!) Rear window tints with "Menu" vinyls for the rear passenger windows etc... Things that need improvement: Small amount of bubbling around the front of the sunroof. Common Laguna 1 issue and isn't an issue for MOT. Fuel guage and temp guage get a little bit wobbly when driving, this is purely a dashboard fault and a quirk from the age of the vehicle. The area where the rear wiper was removed could do with a better repair, this area was filled in and could do with redoing. Boot will only lock from the inside, luckily this is very easy to do.
