Regrettably selling my Mx5 mk2 which was made in February 2000, It is nearly 26 years old now and has sadly been sat for 3 years. In recent events I am no longer medically able to drive it anyway and it sitting in the back rotting is a shame, I was planning on declaring it off the road and trailoring it to tracks on the weekends to have fun with. As that is not an option anymore I would love this to go to someone with a passion for the great cars. I won't lie it is not perfect, I will list the issues in a second along with all the mods/things I have changed that I can think of and also the good points so to say. Questions are more than welcome and I'll reply to them as best as I can, serious buyers preferred only please. As the car has been sat for so long, it is currently sorn with no tax or MOT. Price is negotiable. Negatives: -Car has been sat for 3 years now -Normal issues that would be faced with a car being idle that long -In need of a definite clean -Only premium fuel can be used due to the rebuilt forged engine -Very very small oil leak, however even after being sat for 3 years theres still over three quarters of oil -Replacement battery purchased for it as previous went flat due to being sat -It did fire first time but then cut out, suspect it is either a MAF sensor issue or fuel pump issue, seems to be a common thing online - *UPDATE* The issue is the crank sensor, the air gap was too great, after adjusting this slightly the car starts with no issues now! Air gap hasn't been adjusted to correct gap so will need redoing but car runs now with no issues! Positives: -Car fired first time after being sat so long -Clifton alarm with both fobs -Both keys still work -Forged Engine rebuild as was going to turbo it -Rated to 300bhp before the gearbox would need to be changed to a 6 speed -All receipts to engine work done come with logbook and service history -Calculations rate the engine to a 1.62 now -Car is now ready for turbo upgrade -Chassis rails replaced -Undersealed -Arches look surprisingly good -Tein suspension worth over 780 when new -Handles amazing -Full custom interior -Classic car that is in great condition PLEASE SEE LAST FEW PICS FOR THE FULL LIST OF MODIFICATIONS Instagram is @itsjustjononow for more pictures!
