1986 Toyota Hilux Mk2. 2.0L petrol with a 3Y engine. Manual 5 speed gearbox. Power steering. Just under 12 months MOT. This is a barn find, having been used as a farm truck for many years. MOT history shows that it hadn't had an MOT for ages. The previous owner died and I bought it (dragged it out of a barn). I've got it running, took it for an MOT where it failed, and then did all the work and then it passed! For the MOT: -Rebuilt the front brakes with new caliper pistons and seals -Rebuilt the rear brakes with new cylinders and brake lines -Got the handbrake working again -Replaced all 4 tyres -Replaced the two rear wheels as they were very rusty It could do with some new shocks on the front and back, and I did buy some for the MOT, but they were the wrong ones so had to go back. I've not bought any others since, and the ones that are on there work fine, just rusty. The rear light lenses are looking a bit tired, but they did pass the MOT. Replacements are available online if you wanted. The bench seat has seen better days too. Functional, but torn. The chassis is in great condition and doesn't appear to have been welded or repaired. The cab is also in pretty good and doesn't seem to leak (even when I jet washed it off). The tub however is full of filler and is in a bit of a rough state. It is solid, but if I were keeping it I'd like to chip off the filler and repair the tub properly. The tailgate had a sheet of metal covering the 'TOYOTA' logo which I removed after the MOT, and the bottom of the tailgate is pretty rough too. The engine sounds really good, and pulls pretty well. In my possession it has only been driven to and from its MOT (twice), and has since sat on the drive, so please take that into account when considering this truck. I have a brand new service kit to go with this (oil filter, air filter, and fuel filter), and I have the V5C in my name. Only selling due to other projects and lack of space.
