Description
This is an exceptional 2.0JTS GT which has been brought back up to an excellent standard: it drives beautifully with exceptional engine, suspension and brakes, and everything on the car works perfectly.
I have replaced front and rear discs and pads, numerous suspension parts, all four shock absorbers, the AC condenser, all four fuel injectors, fuel pump, clutch and exhaust.
I chose this car three years ago because it had no rust on it, and I had the underside steam cleaned and rustproofed.
It has a top-of-the-range Pioneer Apple CarPlay unit playing through the excellent Bose speaker system. The steering wheel controls are fully operational, there is a hands-free microphone mounted behind the steering wheel, and the unit connects to the phone via WiFi, so the phone does not need to be connected - although there is the option of a connector in the centre console to charge the phone. The original CD radio and cup holder are included in the sale.
Several interior components on the GT, which get gummy to the touch (the door handle and electric window surrounds, air vents, and door pulls), have been fully reconditioned; the leather has been fully restored and fed, the window regulators reset, and a broken sun visor replaced. There is some minor damage on the side bolster of the driver's seat, which is covered with a leather patch.
I had the wheels restored and repainted two years ago. Since then, I have scraped a few kerbs, so they are no longer perfect, but they look great anywhere other than very close up (and they could be brought back to perfect with a bit of care).
The headlights have recently been restored and are crystal clear, and the number plates and badges have been replaced.
The rear tyres are Michelin Pilot Sports and are 18 months old with less than 10,000 miles on them. The front tyres are Avons and will need to be replaced soon.
There are two electronic keys with new batteries and a spare mechanical key.
The climate control works perfectly, and the air conditioner is icy cold.
The car has a full service history, with extensive records from both my ownership and the previous owner. I bought the car three years ago from an Alfa enthusiast, with the cambelts recently done.
Both of us have used the correct 10/60 high-performance engine oil.
I have spent a silly amount of money making this car a perfect daily driver. It is a London car with a few stone chips and minor dings, but it looks great inside and out.
