Description
My friend bought the car last year from a cat n auction needing a rear bumper why it was written of who knows but anyway he replaced the bumper with a matching colour m sport bumper with factory sensors only to be told by his wife that she would prefer a TT! Which she now has. I was offered the car and as my friend wanted to buy my e85 for his wife I sold the e85 and bought my e89. A big improvement as a daily driver imo.
I bought it in December and used it for a few weeks then the heavy snow came. I also have a landrover so it sat the worst of the weather out. In Jan I had a full service and mot done at my local garage who I've used for 30 yrs. The car was given a clean bill of health. I contacted BMW and they sent me the order/spec sheet and copy of 3 services upto 45k. As it was bought from auction there is unfortunately no book pack but there are 2 original keys and receipt for my service/health check and mot and the main dealer bmw service history. I am happy for any inspection to be carried out. I've used it daily for the past 6 months with the only issue being brake sensor wires that needed replacing to reset the brake check indicator, no service required now until 2027 but if I keep it I will get the oil done every 5k as I do with any car in my ownership. It is well specced in great condition bar some age related marks. I'm the fourth owner. It has matching premium runflats with 5+mm tread. Heated seats, front/rear sensors, folding mirrors, Bluetooth phone prep, roof works perfectly from the key or button. No leaks. New battery fitted. No wear on seats. Pulls really well and returns 38mpg average. Had some nice weekend trips to the lakes in it. I'm in no rush to sell but I have a new daily car and would like to get my daughter something cheap to learn in so would consider a px of a cheap hatchback. Happy to take you on a 20mile drive or let you drive with proof of funds and insurance. I've been as open and honest as possible. It's the first cat n car I've had and I had my concerns about buying one but as I knew the repairer and extent of damage I'm glad I got this one as it's proved to be faultless and turns heads everywhere it goes for not a great deal of money. If it doesn't sell for what I want I'll sorn it till next summer. Its now back on its 2015 plate and I have the new log book .
The heater is great and freezing a/c.
No knocks creaks bangs or leaks just a lovely top down summer or top up winter car.
