Description
This car is in great condition mechanically, these cars can rust, this one isn't showing any signs of that becoming an issue. The major concerns such as the radiator/oil cooler and Cambelt have been replaced in the last 10,000 miles, the air suspension works as it should and the mufflers are present and correct.
It isn't without issues, the paintwork is a low point and the alloys would benefit from a refurb. Additionally, the air-con appears to have stopped working, however as I no longer run the car I've not had chance to get this fixed.
I've owned the car since March 2024 and have enjoyed every mile, no doubt you're aware of what these cars represent if you're hunting for one, but they are very well made, refined and exceptionally comfortable. The engine is famed for its reliability and it certainly hasn't let me down on that front. I daily drove it for a year until March this year when I received a company car and no longer had a use for it.
The first things I had done when I bought it were the belt and the radiator, I didn't want to take any chances and it seemed prudent to ensure these were sorted. It has also had 3 new tires in my ownership, all Bridgestone Turanza T005's (the 4th is too, but it hasn't required replacement). A nice-to-have I added was a bluetooth receiver, discretely hidden in the dash, allowing use of the great sound system through the standard head unit.
Online a lot of the information out there on these looks at the US spec vehicles. All the UK cars were the equivalent of the uL (ultra-luxury), including the ML sound system, the rear passenger blinds and a number of other features. I know it confused me when I was looking for one so I thought I'd add that here.
I think it's a relatively low mileage example of a truly great vehicle, sub 100k mileage ones seem to be getting fewer and far between and this is a long way from that yet.
If there is anything more specific you'd like information on, please ask.
