Description
This is the ultimate version of the Vauxhall Grandland X hybrid, originally on sale for over 50k in the UK . This car is in perfect working order, just serviced by Vauxhall, and an amazing piece of technology with every option possible chosen. It's also got the rare red metallic finish.
It combines the ability to do short range commuting on electric power alone - in practice around 25 miles in summer and 18 in winter, with a petrol engine which will give you a lot more range and options when you need it. It has the 300hp (0-60 in 4.9s) triple engine drive train, which makes this the fastest production Vauxhall ever made. Most of the time in electric mode (200hp) this is plenty fast enough without engaging the petrol engine as well. Over our ownership it has returned north of 150 mpg because it has been used primarily in electric mode for short range town driving. Of course if you want to run it in full 4x4 mode, it can do that as well as Sport, Electric and Hybrid modes.
This car has the rare factory fitted high speed 7kw charger which means that you're ready to go in a couple of hours from flat if you have a rapid home charger. It also has every possible option - a 360 camera, adaptive matrix lights that change pattern depending on the road, heated (and cooled) fully electric ergo leather seats, Android Auto and Apple carplay, a full Tom Tom navigation system with map updates for free for the life of the car. It also has wireless charging, and even a 3 pin 240v plug in the back of the car. It also has handy features like mirrors that dip when you reverse, blind spot detection, parking assist and a very capable adaptive cruise as well as the ability to read speed signs.
Both the 12v batteries have just been changed to schedule so the car should be good for another five years before they need replacing. It has also just been serviced by Vauxhall and scanned by a Vauxhall specialist to make sure that everything is good to go - and there are no hidden issues with the car.
The car is not cosmetically perfect at the moment and there are scratches and dings that you'd expect of a five year old car - see pictures.
It is also just about to drop out of the expensive car tax that was payable on it for the last few years, so the tax rate will drop to the same as the business edition of this car that is missing all the power and features that this one has.
