Description
A WIDE bodied 997 gen 1 Carrera 4S Cabriolet with 139k (But only covered 5k miles since rebuild) it has had a full engine rebuild and a mechanical restoration.
14k thousand pound Engine rebuild inc Nikasil liners, ims bearing cam shafts, etc: As well as the bare engine rebuild many of the ancillary engine parts have been replaced such as New alternator, Tandem pump, coil packs, spark plugs, Milners oil changes only etc. just reached over 5k miles since rebuild and purrs and sounds great.
Sports switchable suspension and sports switchable exhaust.
Most of the suspension parts have been replaced with new PASM shocks and ecu.
New brake pipes all round including the difficult up and overs.
New discs and pads
New water pipe system from to back to front inc expansion tank.
Radiators stripped and brackets restored.
Tiptronic oil and filter flushed through and changed.
Steering rack rebuilt.
It is easier to list what has hasn't been done which is only the front 4 wheel drive system. I have bills to show over 24k in restoration parts including the engine rebuild.
This car mechanically is in great shape, just needs a little tlc on the cosmetics.
Bad points, as I like to be transparent.
Needs new canvas as the old one has gone hard, still waterproof.
Has the word turbo on the cluster display, shouldn't be there.
2 small areas of surface rust in the normal places, drivers arches, see photos
The car is over 20 years old so please expect some age related marks.
