Description
This 2008 Land Rover Defender 110 Utility Wagon in metallic silver has covered around 73,470 miles and had just two previous owners.
Originally part of the fire service fleet, it was used for driver training and later as a fire chief's vehicle. It has never been off-road, has always been carefully driven, and received regular professional maintenance from new.
Released from service at auction in May 2023, I bought it from the subsequent owner in August 2023 and have continued to keep it in excellent condition. Since then, it has been maintained by respected specialists, including upgrade works at Blackburn Heritage in November 2023, routine servicing by a Land Rover specialist in July 2024, and further servicing by Devon 4x4 in July 2025. A new clutch was fitted at the same time, and the most recent MOT runs through to July 2026. The Defender comes with full service and workshop history, two sets of keys, its manual, service book, and even the original brochure.
It drives exactly as it should, with the strong 2.4 TDCi engine and six-speed manual gearbox performing smoothly. Practical touches include a heated windscreen, DAB radio, and upgraded Wipac LED lighting. A genuine Land Rover A-frame bumper, Warn 9.6ti winch, stainless steel bolt kit, and Michelin Latitude Cross tyres (with two new at the fronts and a General Grabber spare).
Condition is very good inside and out, that reflect careful upkeep. It has been driven regularly, always starts first time, and feels tight and reliable on the road. Now only lightly used following the arrival of a company car, this is a reluctant sale.
Cherished and kept in proper working order, this Defender is ready for its next chapter. Whether as a dependable workhorse, capable adventure vehicle, or future classic, it is a genuine example that stands out.
Viewings and test drives are welcome by appointment.
