Original British car in very sound condition. Drives beautifully, It spent much of its life in Australia where it was restored in the late '80s / early '90s. The chassis and engine are matching numbers as at production, and the wooden body frame has been restored and is steady as a rock. The body and chassis are rust free.
The steering wheel is the correct Bluemels sprung type and an improved steering box has been fitted. The wheels are 16" wires - a period modification for a sharper drive. The hood and sidescreens are little used and are in first class condition. Flashing indicators have been added and the side lights, brake lights and indicators have been upgraded to LEDs for safety. The fuel pump looks original but has electronic components.
Bills for 14,000+ over the past 8 years include rebuilt front and rear suspension, new front king pins and bushes, brakes overhauled and a new master cylinder fitted. The structure of the car has been checked and it has been rewired. The carburettors and cooling system have been overhauled and the wire wheels refurbished. The car is driven regularly but has covered less than 3,000 miles over the past eight years. It is always garaged and does not go out in the rain.
