The car has been professionally repaired with genuine Volvo parts. The only reason the vehicle was written off is that the mild hybrid battery detected the crash. After a crash, the battery simply needs resetting. Unfortunately, the main dealer doesn't provide this service and instead insists on selling a brand-new battery. However, a Volvo specialist was able to unlock and reset the battery for me. Considering the vehicle is a Cat N (only cosmetic damage - see photos), I've already reduced the price by 20% off the recommended retail price listed by AutoTrader.
