Description
I have owned the golf for the past 6 years. The car has been well maintained and is in good overall condition. Low mileage, sensible upkeep, and a long MOT make it a great choice as a first car or affordable daily runaround.
1.6-litre petrol engine
5-door hatchback
MOT until August 2026
Low mileage: 89,600 miles
Timing chain, not a belt - no costly belt changes required.
Regular servicing - full service every other year, mini service in between.
4 new tyres fitted in 2024.
Engine runs well - prefers E5 petrol but can run on E10 if needed
Bodywork & interior in good condition for age - tidy and presentable.
Cruise control
2 keys.
Insurance Group 14 - typically affordable for this age of Golf
Points to Note
If the car is unused for 4-5 days, the battery goes flat. Fine with regular use, charges up without issue. Garage couldn't trace the fault a couple of years ago, but it hasn't been a problem for me as I use it regularly.
Coolant top-up: occasionally needs topping up, though it hasn't required any for the past 6+ months.
General age-related wear, but overall a straight, honest car.
