I have owned the Spitfire since 1991 and it has been kept in a dry garage since this time. The body was taken off in 2008, and all new floors and cills plus wheel arches were put in, with no rust remaining. At this time the Spitfire was resprayed in the original colour and the engine head adapted to unleaded petrol with new valves, guides, springs etc plus new dash. Recently the carburettors have been cleaned and tuned, and the Spitfire runs well. Hood panels have been restored and the car has a complete tonneau. The car has a working radio cassette player. Overdrive works well. In good order and ready for use.
