Description

BMW 730 (E32) - Full MOT 3.0 litre straight six 156,414 miles (rising daily) 12 months MOT (no advisories) I bought this about a year ago at the end of its last MOT to work on with my son and get it back on the road. Somewhat surprisingly it didn't actually need too much. The following has been done: - All required welding (carried out professionally): all four jacking points and rear arches (at a cost of 800, receipts available) - 4 new tyres - Handbrake tightened - New front passenger side brake calliper - Windscreen leaks sealed - A couple of electrical gremlins chased down and isolated (which had been causing a parasitic draw on the battery) - Steam clean of interior (including seats out) - A couple of new air pipes in the engine bay which had perished/cracked - New fog light Good points: - 12 months MOT with no advisories - Strong engine - No warning lights, bells, or whistles - Solid bodywork - Engine keeps to temperature - No suspension creaks or rattles - Smooth auto gear changes - Functioning immobiliser - Electric windows work - Original sales materials, owner's manual, service book, and master key are present - Spare wheel present - Seats and interior in very good condition Bad points: - Paintwork isn't great. Cosmetic things don't tend to bother me, though I know they matter to some people - Some electrical components have been disconnected/isolated from when we were chasing down the parasitic draw (sunroof, radio, OBC, and alarm) - The electric seats work in certain directions but not others (I have them set at comfortable position for me and have left them there) I have been as transparent as possible, and any detailed inspection is welcome. This is by no means a show car; if you're one of the strange breed that needs everything to be immaculate and on point, then this isn't the car for you. If, however, you're a more well-rounded individual who appreciates older cars and intends to use them, then this should be up your street. I've been using this daily since we got it MOT'd and I'm actually a little reluctant to sell it, so any silly offers or obvious time wasters will be ignored. I will conduct test drives unless proof of insurance can be provided. Thanks for looking!
