1965 Land Rover Series 2A 88 petrol, soft top
Mid period narrow headlight model, finished in factory Mid Grey.
Fitted with galvanised chassis and bulkhead, freewheel front hubs, towpack, Exmoor Trim deluxe seats, Smiths heater, brake servo and alternator conversion.
Fitted with a period correct, rebuilt 252 prefix 2.25 petrol engine
Date of first registration: 12 February 1965
Current owner purchased the vehicle March 2022, and has covered less than 400 miles since!

The fifth registered owner purchased the vehicle as a project to renovate and during the course of 10 years carried out extensive works including-
Complete disassembly.
Bulkhead refurbished and galvanised by Ashtree Landrover of Salisbury.
Wheels stove enamelled.
New galvanised chassis with bolt up cross members, etched and painted black - supplied by Richards Chassis of Mexborough.
New UJ's, shock absorbers, swivel kits etc. and new front leaf springs.
New main engine bearings, shells etc.
Alternator conversion.
Gearbox serviced.
New clutch and brake master cylinders.
Widow surround, bumper, trim and front panel galvanised.
New seats and inertia reel seatbelts fitted.
Wiper motors reconditioned.
Exmoor Trim full roof hood fitted
2022 - 2025
New distributor condenser and points.
New fuel tank and pump fitted and inline filter added.
Head gasket renewed.
O/S front hub fitted with new bearings and seals.
New water pump and fan belt.
Supplied with a huge sheaf of bills / receipts, old MOT's back to 1969, old registration documents and collectable 1965 sale catalogue and optional equipment brochure.
Also included, box of spares (as photos) and workshop manual.
